Sights and Sounds of Paris: Part One begins with views of the
Eiffel Tower, the symbol of the city. We then explore the bustling
Avenue des Champs-Élysées with its many fashionable stores,
followed by a visit to the tomb of the unknown soldier under the
Arc de triomphe, before moving on to the Obelisk on the Place
de la Concorde. In the Hôtel des Invalides we admire the tomb of
Napoleon Bonaparte. A cruise on a Bateau-Mouche down the River
Seine takes in the many bridges and glimpses of daily life on the
embankments. A visit to Notre-Dame is followed by a stroll through the
quaint streets of the Ile-St-Louis, and finally an entertaining glimpse of
the Place du Tertre in Montmartre.
