Starting at the iconic Eiffel Tower, the camera takes us through the most popular tourist destination in the world. At Montmartre we observe the Sacré Coeur and then the many artists in the Place du Tertre. We view daily life on the River Seine, the Ile-St-Louis and then enjoy an excursion around the exterior of the Louvre and its controversial pyramid, followed by a walk through the Jardins des Tuileries to the notorious Place de la Concorde. We then stroll down the Champs Elysées to witness the hustle and bustle of one of the world’s busiest thoroughfares before returning to the Arc de Triomphe. Then on to Notre-Dame cathedral, a masterpiece of early Gothic architecture. A tempting glimpse of the Madeleine and the Opéra Garnier leads us to the Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann. followed by the Pompidou Centre which has amazed visitors with its radical architectural statement. After a visit to the impressive skyscrapers of La Défense and its Grande Arche, we conclude with a brief night tour featuring the Moulin Rouge, views of the banks of the Seine and fireworks at the Eiffel Tower.
